Therefore combining sales items with Promo Discount items (just about EVERYTHING!) in the cart may cause the cart to select only one discount or promo that it thinks gives the best overall savings, and it applies only that sale or promo.

When the above happens, you can often still get all your discounts, on all your items, just by doing several separate transactions as follows:
